Norskkurs i transitt på Persaunet
På Persaunet har vi norskkurs fire ganger i uken. Dette er en populær aktivitet blant beboerne. På norskkursene går vi gjennom blant annet enkel grammatikk, uttale og fraser man har bruk for i hverdagen.
Beboerne har også lært norske sanger og hatt quiz om Norge.
Vi ønsket å finne ut hva beboerne syns om norskkurset, så vi ba dem svare på seks spørsmål om forventninger, læringsutbytte, interesser osv.
Tesfai og Nazret er to ivrige deltakere, og de hadde dette å si om norskkursene:
Fra Eritrea. Han snakker tigrinja, engelsk, arabisk og litt italiensk.
Fra Eritrea. Har 11 års skolegang og har tidligere jobbet med billettsalg i et reisebyrå. Hun snakker arabisk, litt italiensk og tigrinja.
Which expectations do you have for the Norwegian course?
Tesfai: “I expect the Norwegian course to help us get to know the Norwegian language. I also want to use it to speak to people living in Norway”.
Nazret: “I expect to speak Norwegian and communicate with everybody using the language”.
What do you want to learn in the Norwegian course?
Tesfai: “I want to learn the grammatical system in the Norwegian language”.
Nazret: “I need to learn grammar and words”.
Why do you participate in the Norwegian course?
Tesfai: “I participate at the course because I want to know the language, since I live here”.
Nazret: “I like to learn languages and develop my English. I also want to work and then I have to know the Norwegian language”.
Have you used some of the knowledge from the course so far?
Tesfai: “I use what I know, but I am a new beginner so I don’t know very much.”
Nazret: “Yes, I understand many words. And when I see English movies translated into Norwegian I am able to understand some of it.”
Why is it important to learn Norwegian?
Tesfai: “When you live in a country, you must know the language to be able to communicate at work and in many civil and public arenas”.
Nazret: “Because I live in Norway and it is important for me to learn the language to continue my school in Norway.”
What is the most interesting in the Norwegian course?
Tesfai: “The most interesting is the grammar, and to talk and write because this is the basic things”.
Nazret: “The most interesting things is the grammar, and to communicate with people. For instance, when I go to the supermarket I like to speak some Norwegian”.
